I ordered these to replace a similar item that did the same task of transforming mains supply into lesser voltage values. This is designed to provide a range of voltages for items e.g. Portable DAB radio that uses 6 volts via 4 Size C batteries, which of course run out in your favourite program. This avoids that problem so you have a permanent mains supply, no more missed radio programs. This voltage converter not only has varying levels of power, but has a range of assorted fittings that fit varying electrical items, you select the adapter that suits your equipment, connect it to the lead that supplies the power via the adapter, check and change to yhe correct voltage and you get the same power supply that suits your item. A very versatile, well made power supply (adjustable) with real quality adapters. Stable power output and works well connecting via a standard 3 pin plug (UK Type G) and has a voltage output adjusting key. Excellent item. Recommended.
