Bought this for our US holiday, and it was great - and also works right across Europe & Scandinavia, (NB this DOES NOT change voltage - so check any devices you are using this with can work at 110V if you are going to USA - this plug just accepts the AC input, and then converts to DC USB voltage, or a socket on the back of the plug at the same voltage as the plug at the front. One word of caution specific to USA - the sockets in the USA are always a bit rickety, and because it is a bit heavier, this plug adapter falls out of the socket quite easily, meaning 2 things; 1 - you need to sort-of support it when plugging in to an upright wall socket - whereas a couple of cheaper USB adapters I bought are much lighter and don't have that problem 2 - there is no easy way of knowing if this plug is getting power if you are using as a charger, without checking with the charged device - and sometimes it starts charging, then the rickety US sockets budge, and the charging stops - a nice light on it when getting current might be nice, (as the 2 much cheaper adapters we bought as back up, have). Overall I DO recommend this device - it is well made, and super-versatile - I was really impressed with it. It is light, and does not have any protruding "prongs" when you are packing your luggage - I wish we'd had this last year when we did a tour right across Europe - because it is so versatile. You can use this as a travel adapter and a usb charger. It works as both. I use it purely as a high powered usb charger. I can charge a laptop from the 65w socket, fast-charge 2 mobile phones at the same time, whatever. Seems reliable. And not only that, it acts as a pass through, a multinational mains power socket is available along with the usbs. It's really good, compact, high powered, versatile and reliable. All my adapters will be Tessan after buying 2 of these.
