The Positives > Good build quality: The aluminium construction feels sturdy and durable for everyday use. > Lightweight and portable: The compact size makes it easy to throw into my bag. > Useful ports: 3 USB ports (1x 3.0, 2x 2.0) cater to various peripherals, and the HDMI output expands display options. Unobtrusive operating LED: A tiny blue LED lights-up when the hub is connected, which I always find useful! The So-So’s = Single USB-C port: While convenient, it limits connecting other USB-C devices if used for charging. = Charging abilities: The 100W PD USB-C port could be used to power a laptop or to charge its battery. My DELL XPS uses a 130W power supply so I could only use this port to charge the battery. The Not So Positives < Lower refresh rate: The HDMI port has a refresh rate of 4K@30Hz which isn’t ideal for high-motion content and feels outdated. 60Hz is my minimum preference The Verdict The Suift USB-C Hub 5-in-1 is a compact and portable solution for expanding a laptop's connectivity. I really liked the sturdy build quality, and its array of ports. Although I wasn’t able to power my laptop directly from the hub, it did at least provide some juice to the battery to help charge it. However, the single USB-C port and limited HDMI refresh rate might be drawbacks for some users, especially those with multiple USB-C devices or those that have higher demands for smoother visuals. So, if you require portability and versatility with moderate usage, this hub is a good choice. But if you need seamless connections for multiple USB-C devices or high-refresh displays, consider options with more ports or higher HDMI capabilities.

Hmm not had the best of experience with port , maybe it this one i have seems slow and connections don't link properly i have to keep tapping the wire on start up to get connection to all devices. so buy or not, leave that to you yours may work better. ???

Package contents: USB C Hub. Price when tested: £8.99. Tested with: Lenovo IdeaPad 3i 17 (Windows 11) / Samsung Galaxy A34 / iPad 9th Gen. / Kindle Paperwhite 11th Gen. USB hubs are great when you don’t have enough USB ports on the laptop and have a few USB devices to use at the same time. I like the feel of the metal case on this hub, it feels well-made and better than a plastic case. This hub plugs into a USB C port on your laptop, you then get 3 USB type A ports, and a HDMI Port to add a separate monitor to the laptop. The USB C port on the HUB is used for charging the laptop and cannot be used for data transfer which is a shame as it means I need to use a type C to A adaptor. I haven’t been able to test the HDMI port and as I’d rather use my laptop HDMI out port as it’s one less device to go through. My laptop instantly recognised my phone, iPad, and Kindle when connected via the hub. Just make sure you use a data cable, not a charging only cable. This is an excellent USB hub for the price, a USB C data socket would’ve been nice though.
