Its a well made piece of kit and looks like it will last. Unfortunetly, with my laptop (DELL Precision 3561), it has charging issues. I thought i could get away with it (it was charging slow) But now it isn't charging fast enough so I'm having to charge my laptop directly rather than via the hub. I would have then liked to use the remaining usb c "power" port on the hub but unfortunetly it doesn't work (looks like its just for power only) Considering returning it and trying another

As other reviews have said, there are still quality control issues with the manufacture of the case. The cutouts for the USB C and HDMI are slightly misaligned with the circuit board. This results in the ports being very difficult or impossible to use without modification (widening the apertures). Of course, this is something that you should not be expected to do with a new item. Disappointing as it works well, but it's let down by the port issue. *Update 13th May 2023* Following my review, the seller contacted me and sent a replacement item the next day free of charge. The replacement item works as it should. They acknowledged there is a manufacturing defect in a batch of the units, and were quick to respond with a replacement. Rating increased from 2 stars.

This is exactly what I wanted, a small usb hub with USB a and USB c ports plus a 4k hdmi output. I had just bought a new screen and I was only getting 1920x1080 now I'm able to get 2048x1080 so I'm extremely happy. I was looking at other hubs which had sd card reader and ethernet but in all honestly I don't use them anymore so this hub does the trick for my needs.

Use it on my macbook air as apart of the desk setup. Mainly for connecting monitor, usb microphone and audio interface. Works perfectly fine. Not the most versatile, since it doesn't have a SD card reader. If you use it for traveling a lot than just buy one of those that plug into both ports to be more secure. Looks good, little blue light tells you it's on. Doesn't overheat. Good for its price.

Since most new laptops only have USB-C ports this became a necessity in my office. I have not tried the video connection on it but I do use it like a dock. I keep ethernet, mouse/keyboard and flash drive plugged in for ease of setting up laptops at work. I can swap it to a new device and its ready to go in seconds. Very convenient to throw in my bag and take with me so I can have regular size USB connections on my laptop. Not many devices have a USB-C connector (yet) so the ability to plug in all my existing devices into one connector is a definite plus. The passthrough power isn't enough for my particular laptop but it is enough for the ones I deal with at work so only plugging in one device is a real time saver. Plus I don't need to get a full blown dock to be able to plug in everything I need. Nice sturdy metal construction, I have used it for months and haven't had any issues with it.
